Total Phyisical Response ( TPR )
TPR introduced by James Asher in 1982, TPR is often called the comprehension approach, because this method focused to the importance of listening comprehension. Learning more priority to activities directly related total physical activity and movement . TPR explained that the more often a person's memory stimulation given is easier to recalling. Activity is done verbally given to the activities of movement (motor activity) . Furthermore, TPR explained that the role of emotional factors are very effective in teaching learner’s language, it means to learn the language by physical with moves that can be combined with gaming, singing, telling stories, or see the relevan image will be able to reduce the pressure to learn language. It believed that with joy in the child (positive mood) will give a good impact for the learner.
Strategies in Total Physical Response
1. Teachers very often use the command and instruction to learners.
2. Learners receive and execute orders given by the teacher
3. A teacher understands what students comprehence about the instructions through the execution done by the learner.
4. To enhance students' understanding can be done by performing the action.
Advantages and disadvantages of using TPR

4. Teachers can more easily assess a child who is active in the classroom
